About Courtside Post

Courtside Post started in a Portland workshop with a simple observation: most desk accessories are either disposable plastic or overpriced decoration. We wanted a third option — a short catalog of solid, honest goods made from materials that age well: walnut, oak, full-grain leather, brass, cork, and wool felt.

The name comes from our first workshop on Court Street, where the corner post of the old building held up the roof and, for a while, our entire finishing rack. It's still there. So are we.

We keep the catalog small on purpose — seven pieces, each one refined over time rather than replaced each season. Everything is finished by hand, and everything is built to sit on a desk that gets used.
